Allow me to introduce myself; my name is Andrea Tuijl, P.T. I have been practicing physical therapy in the United States for the past 15 years.  Prior to coming to the U.S., I worked in Amsterdam, where I was trained at a prestigious Dutch physical therapy academy.  After working at several well known out-patient clinics in Tucson, I joined Lordex Spine Centers of Arizona in Green Valley in September 2006.

The primary reason I joined the clinic was to incorporate the Lordex Spinal Decompression Unit (LDU) into a newly developed program of spinal care.  The LDU is an amazing, hi-tech machine for treating patients suffering from chronic low back pain, sciatica, disc problems and spinal stenosis.  I have found it to be the most effective approach for treating low back ailments, especially in those patients who have literally tried everything. 

As rewarding as it has been to see dramatic, and even unexpected improvement in my patients, it has been equally rewarding to fulfill my long-held vision of creating an environment where patients are cared for in a personal, friendly atmosphere.  I have a competent and caring staff that is equally dedicated to helping you get back to doing the things you enjoy.  Come and experience this unique facility, where we will make sure your healing process is never rushed. 

Through my work experience as a physical therapist, I have developed and sharpened my therapy skills, using a variety of approaches.  Besides a wide array of manual techniques, I apply kinesiology concepts from Janda, Yoga, and PNF to counter the effects of posture and holding and movement patters of each person.  Each exercise is instructed with every patient's specific patterns in mind.

I not only welcome patients with low back related problems, but would be excited to help you with any orthopedic related problem including neck, shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle as well as general conditioning.  I see every patient's case as an opportunity to help a fellow human achieve their best quality of life.
